Tranmere story
Romford-born goalkeeper David Martin began at Wimbledon and Milton Keynes Dons before joining Liverpool in 2006. While with Liverpool he gained senior experience through loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Leicester City, Tranmere Rovers, Leeds United and Derby County.
Martin later established himself with Milton Keynes Dons and also represented Millwall and West Ham United. He made a memorable Premier League debut for his boyhood club West Ham in a victory at Chelsea in 2019, before later spells with Southend United and Ipswich Town.
